Remove the requirement to land exactly on the Island.You may use tickets to get to anywhere up to or including the Island of Winged Serpents, and you must use die-rolls thereafter, but you don't have to get an exact roll, so you can roll beyond the Eye and still win. To win you have to get three dragons and go to the dragon's eye.Perhaps allow land tickets to travel anywhere in a connected landmass (which may have been what the rules were trying to communicate by 'continent' in the first place, I don't know).

On the down side, it is heavily dependent on die-rolling and luck, and the rules are not specific enough in places and contradictory in others. When you have three dragons you make your way to the Dragon's Eye, somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific, which you have to land on with a frustrating series of precise die rolls. When you've collected three knowledge cards about a given dragon (which can be done by trading with other players) you can go to that dragon's home and claim that dragon. The game is simple enough in most regards that young children can have a blast playing it, but there can be a high level of strategic play involved if it's just adults playing it. as short as half an hour, but the really good games can take quite a bit longer. After all, there are only 9 dragons on the board, and so to master 3, and keep them, becomes a lot harder when the 4th player sits down to play. I would think that a 4 player game, or even a 6 player game, would introduce a lot more complication and require some serious strategic planning to get a shot at winning. With only one opponent to deal with, it became easier to play the player, rather than play the game.
